ONTARIO TEACHER TUTORS
Make their screen time count. š

āāā
What if one hour a week changes everything?
Maybe they're falling behind and just want to pass this course.āā
ā
Or maybe the goal is University Admissions and a 90% average.
āāāāā
Either way, Ontario Teacher Tutors has their back.
ā
Hi! My name is Ms. Jenna Mayhew. I'm an Ontario Certified Teacher, and the proud owner of Ontario Teacher Tutors.
ā
Long ago, when my business was much smaller, I worked alone. Word of mouth helped me grow, and before long, families were referring more families than I had room to support.
Suddenly, I had a problem. How could I help more students, when every hour in my schedule was already taken?ā That's when I realized there was a simple truth behind my success:
Real Teachers get Real Results
So, I built a Tutoring Team of Ontario Certified Teachers and Bachelor of Education Students around that same idea.ā Today, we consistently see improvements in academic achievement in as little as 8 weeks. After all,1:1 tutoring should be more than just extra help from someone who knows the subject. Your child deserves someone who knows how to explain it. ā
More than just HW help
Our tutors work with students consistently each week to:
-
Build missing foundational skills.
-
Prepare for upcoming assessments.āØ
-
Strengthen confidence.āØ
-
Improve study habits.āØ
-
Encourage digital literacy
-
Challenge high-achieving students.āØ
-
And help school feel manageable again.
ā
Sometimes the biggest change isn’t just the grade.
ā
It’s your child looking at something difficult and thinking:
ā
“It’s okay. I have tutoring this week. I can figure this out.”
ā
That confidence matters.
Parents Stay Informed
After every tutoring session, you receive a student progress update directly to your inbox.
You’ll know what your child worked on, where they’re doing well, what still needs improvement, and what we recommend focusing on next.
No more wondering what happened during tutoring- stay informed!
You can even use our session notes to continue the work at home or collaborate with your child’s classroom teacher.
How it works
Your child gets dedicated 1:1 support through Google Meet and Canva while you receive updates after every session.
Why families stay with us
Many of our families return year after year - some from Grade 9 all the way through Grade 12.
ā
Because when a student finds the right person in their corner, tutoring becomes more than another appointment.
It becomes part of their support system.
ā
ā
Ready to find the right tutor?
Give your child one consistent hour each week to ask questions, build skills, and show you what they’re capable of.
1:1 tutoring • Ontario curriculum • Consistent weekly support • Parent updates after every session
Are you ready to find your reason?
ā
Give your child the chance to show you what they can do.ā Check out our Booking Form below to secure your weekly time slot, or simply scroll on to learn more.
ā
I look forward to connecting with you!ā

š"The Best Decision We've Ever Made!" - Nico's Dadš
Nico’s dad said tutoring was “the best decision we've ever made.”
Because when practice, games, and travel adds up… school can, too.
One-on-one support keeps student-athletes on track so they can chase big dreams-like University admissions + sports. šš
Congratulations Nico! 4 years later, he secured a position on the University of Ottawa Varsity Rugby Team.
It's no surprise that hard work, dedication, and a good team pays off!

Fun fact: That's me in the photo, on the bench!

2012
I graduated from Rothesay Netherwood School in 2012 with the highest academic average in the graduating class. As such, I won the Governor General's Medal for Academic Achievement, which is granted in June to the valedictorian of every High School in Canada.
ā
Notably, I took on the role of "Peer Tutoring Prefect", creating a peer Tutoring program that allows students to tutor and earn volunteer hours towards their IB diploma. The program remains in use to this day.

Governor General's Medal

2016
I graduated from Acadia University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science: Double Major in Chemistry and Biology. Acadia is located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Acadia has consistently ranked in the top 5 undergraduate universities of Canada, according to Maclean's Annual List.

Canada's Top Undergraduate Universities

2021
I graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Education in Chemistry and Biology. I continued to pursue additional qualifications including Intermediate Math (2021), Grade 7/8 Math (2023), and Primary/Junior Math (2023).
